Files and text

SubFlip does not upload your subtitle files. Files are parsed in your browser; only the text of each cue is sent over HTTPS to our server and to the translation model provider (Anthropic) to produce the translation. We do not store the text after the request completes.

The model provider may retain API inputs for a limited period for abuse prevention under its own policy. We do not permit inputs to be used for model training.

What we collect

A random device cookie (sf_uid) that links your free quota and purchased credits to this browser. It does not identify you personally.

Your IP address, used only as the key of a daily counter to prevent abuse of the free tier; it expires automatically after 26 hours.

Usage metrics: daily totals of events such as upload, translation completed and download. No file names or contents are included.

Payments

Payments are processed by Creem (creem.io). Card details never reach us. We store only the link between the order ID and the device cookie to confirm the purchase.

Cookies

Only the essential cookie (sf_uid) is used. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
