Is it free?
Your first subtitle file each day is free (up to 150 cues, one target language) with no account. After that you buy credits once: 10 credits for $4.99 or 30 for $9.99. One credit translates one file (up to 1,000 cues) into one language. Credits stay valid for a year and there is no subscription.
Will the timing change?
No. The file is parsed in your browser and only the text of each cue is translated. Timecodes, cue numbers, VTT settings, ASS styles and inline tags are written back exactly as they were. You get the same format you uploaded.
Which formats are supported?
SRT, WebVTT (.vtt), YouTube SBV, Advanced SubStation Alpha (.ass/.ssa) and SAMI (.smi). Files up to 2 MB or 5,000 cues. You can drop up to 20 files at once and download everything as one ZIP.
How accurate is the translation?
Translation is done by a large language model that sees the surrounding cues, so split sentences, pronouns and gender read naturally. It follows subtitle line-length rules and keeps the register you choose (formal or casual). For names and terms, add a glossary and they stay consistent through the file.
Do you store my files?
The subtitle file never leaves your browser. Only the cue text is sent to the translation API over HTTPS for the duration of the request and is not stored by us. Nothing is kept on our servers after the response.
Can I translate into several languages at once?
Yes. Add up to five target languages; each language costs one credit per file. Results come back as separate files named like movie.es.srt, movie.fr.srt, or as a single ZIP.
What if a translation fails halfway?
Failed chunks are retried automatically. If a file still fails, you can retry it without being charged again — the credit was reserved for that file, not per attempt. If something looks wrong, email us and we will refund the credits.
